Your ASVAB tutoring questions, answered

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is the test the U.S. military uses to decide two things: whether you qualify to enlist, and which military jobs you're eligible for. Your AFQT score - drawn from four subtests - sets your enlistment eligibility, while your full set of scores feeds the line scores that open up specific jobs. A strong ASVAB score widens your options; a weak one narrows them, which is why solid preparation matters so much.
Your AFQT score is reported as a percentile from 1 to 99. Each branch sets its own minimum to qualify for enlistment, generally in the low-to-mid 30s for high school graduates, though requirements vary by branch and can change. Beyond qualifying, a higher AFQT and strong scores across the other subtests unlock more military job options, so "good" ultimately depends on the career you're aiming for.
Most students complete our structured program in 2, 4, or 8 weeks depending on where they're starting and how much ground they need to cover. The pace is flexible and built around your diagnostic results, your current scores, and your test date - so you're ready exactly when you need to be rather than rushing or dragging.
Yes. Online tutoring lets you work one-on-one with a certified ASVAB specialist from anywhere, with flexible scheduling and recorded sessions you can review any time. You get the same personalized instruction you'd get in person - often from a more experienced ASVAB specialist than you could find locally - without the commute or the rigid schedule.
The ASVAB has nine subtests: Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, General Science, Mechanical Comprehension, Electronics Information, Auto & Shop Information, and Assembling Objects. Our tutors are experts across all nine, and after your diagnostic we focus on the sections that will move your score the most.
Our 8-week program includes a Pass Guarantee. If you complete the program and don't pass, we keep working with you at no additional cost until you do. We're able to stand behind that because our program is built to get you ready - we won't let you walk into the testing center before you're prepared.
You can start right away. After you sign up and complete your payment, one of our agents reaches out to match you with the right tutor and schedule your first session - usually within 24 to 48 hours. You'll also receive a short form to share your test date and availability so we can plan around your schedule.
Yes. Every session is live and one-on-one with a certified ASVAB specialist - never a group class or a pre-recorded video. Your tutor builds the session around your specific weak areas and goals, so your time is spent exactly where it will help your score the most.
Absolutely. Whether you're testing for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or Space Force, we help you hit the AFQT score you need to qualify. And if you're targeting a specific military job, we focus on the subtests that feed the line scores that career requires, so you qualify not just to enlist but for the role you actually want.
We offer three courses to match where you're starting from: a 2-week course, a 4-week course, and our most popular 8-week course, which carries the highest pass rate and the free-retake Pass Guarantee. You can see full pricing and sign up on our Sign Up page, or chat with an agent if you're not sure which option fits you best.
Yes. The ASVAB has evolved since it was introduced in 1968, and we keep our curriculum current with real-time feedback from students taking the test now. We never rely on outdated study guides - what you study reflects the exam you'll actually sit, so there are no surprises on test day.
We focus only on the ASVAB. We're not a general test-prep company that also happens to offer it alongside the SAT, ACT, and GRE. Every tutor is a certified ASVAB specialist, every session is personalized from a real diagnostic, and our work is backed by a Pass Guarantee. That focus and accountability are exactly what this exam calls for.
